Kristyn Collins
Kristyn is known to be very coachable, attentive, and takes direction very well to improve both her team and individual game. In the past, she has played sledge hockey, therapeutic horseback riding, and karate. She started playing boccia in an organized recreational program through Easter Seals in 2012 and continued to increase her involvement since then. Since competing at her first Canadian Championships in 2013, the experience of competition never left her. She felt a sense of belonging and began pushing herself to improve as much as possible. There were some ups and downs but her dedication and “never quit” attitude has led her to success in the national program. She is most proud of putting in the work to be selected to the National Team in 2019, 2022, and 2023. Being given the opportunity to represent her country as part of Team Canada on the world stage was something she had dreamed of for a long time and never thought it be possible until now. Her motto is “just be you!”
