On January 27, 2026, the Honourable Joan Marie Aylward, ONL, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador, awarded the Order of Newfoundland and Labrador to eight recipients for their demonstrated excellence and achievement in their respective fields.

Margaret (Muggs) Tibbo was recognized for more than four decades of work in advancing inclusion in sport for persons with disabilities in Newfoundland and Labrador. She is both a Technical Classifier as well as a Provincial Referee for the sport of boccia. Her dedication and hard work have made great strides in ensuring that individuals of all abilities have opportunities to participate and compete.

Le 27 janvier 2026, l'honorable Joan Marie Aylward, ONL, lieutenante-gouverneure de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador, a décerné l'Ordre de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador à huit récipiendaires pour leur excellence et leurs réalisations dans leurs domaines respectifs.

Margaret (Muggs) Tibbo a été récompensée pour plus de quatre décennies de travail en faveur de l'inclusion des personnes handicapées dans le sport à Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador. Elle est à la fois classificatrice technique et arbitre provinciale pour le sport de la boccia. Son dévouement et son travail acharné ont permis de faire de grands progrès pour garantir que les personnes de toutes capacités aient la possibilité de participer et de concourir.
