Olivier was initially classed as a ramp player and participated in his first Eastern Quebec Games in 2013 as a BC3 athlete. He then joined the Lions Boccia Quebec and made appearances at provincial tournaments where he won several medals. In 2014, in Ste-Julie, Quebec Boccia Canada’s High Performance Director, Mario Delisle, categorized Olivier as a BC2 athlete. He quickly learned to play in this new category, although it was difficult at first, he kept on persevering. His recent accomplishments include a first place finish at the 2023 Défi sportif AlterGo competition.

He enjoys competing to keep himself healthy, to allow him to push his limits, and to help him stay focused at school. He lives by the motto, “Make your life a dream and your dream a reality” by Antoine de Saint-Exupery, meaning that there is nothing impossible in life. Our dreams allow us to accomplish beautiful things and I’m always hoping for the best.
