NCCP Introduction to Competition Coach Training + Evaluation pre-2024 Canadian Boccia Championships

  • Start Date: November 6, 2024
  • End Date: November 13, 2024

Location:

Online & RA Centre in Ottawa, ON

  1. NCCP Introduction to Competition Workshop (English only – Open to all – even those not attending the Championships)

This course includes self study, online and in person elements. By completing all of the modules below, the coach is considered a TRAINED Intro to Comp coach.

Participants must complete ALL the elements listed to be considered ‘Trained’.

– Module 1 – Self Study (~6-8 hours) – to be completed at participant’s own pace

– Module 2 – Live virtual theory (~2.5 hours) – Zoom

  • Nov 6 (2.5 hours) @5:30 – 8 PM EST

– Module 3 – In person practical (~3 hours) – RA Centre

  • Nov 13 (8:30am – 11:30am)
  1. Introduction to Competition Coach Evaluation (English only – Open to Coaches attending Canadian Boccia Championships as a coach)

In the Boccia Coach Development Model, the NCCP Introduction to Competition Boccia training is the recommended education level for coaches at the Canadian Boccia Championships. To ensure access to this training across the country, we are offering a hybrid NCCP Introduction to Competition course and coach evaluation opportunity at the 2024 Canadian Boccia Championships.

Registration Fee: $50

Evaluation Fee: $150

To be certified, coaches must submit a portfolio before the event, be evaluated during practice at the Canadian Boccia Championships and complete these three multisport modules:

Additional Information:

  • Nov 10 (5pm) – Deadline to submit coach portfolio
  • Nov 13 (2:30pm to 5:30pm) – Observations at RA Centre
  • Nov 13 or 14 (time tbd with each coach) – Debrief

*by completing all of the above, the coach is considered a CERTIFIED Intro to Comp coach.
