Ciobanu and Dispaltro Arrive in Thailand for Bangkok World Open
Bangkok, Thailand (October 4, 2017) – Hot on the heels of their bronze medal performance at the BISFed Kansas City World Open last week, Marco Dispaltro (St. Jerome, QC) and Iulian Ciobanu (Montreal, QC) headed directly to Bangkok to compete at the next World Open in Bangkok from Oct 5-10.
It’s another important step on the road to qualifying a slot for Canada at the 2020 Paralympic Summer Games in Tokyo.
“In Bangkok, we are expecting a high level of play, particularly in the BC4 class,” comments BC4 coach Cesar Nicolai. “Marco and Iulian are going to face some of the best athletes in the world. I’m confident that they can play really well and will take home a lot of experience.”
