OTTAWA, ON (April 22, 2026) – The 2026 Défi Sportif AlterGo National Boccia Competition begins this week at the Maurice Richard Arena, running from April 24 to 26. As the first event on the national competition calendar, the spotlight will focus on Boccia Canada’s Espoir Team athletes, emerging competitors who represent the future of the sport in Canada.
This competition serves as a key development opportunity within Boccia Canada’s performance pathway. These athletes are working toward future National Team selection, using high-level events like Défi Sportif to gain experience, test their skills, and measure their progress against top domestic competition.
The event will feature individual competition only, giving Espoir athletes a valuable platform to demonstrate their growth and competitive readiness on the national stage.
