The team will be well supported by National Team Coaches César Nicolaï, Simon Larouche, and Tiffany Gaudette. Boccia Canada is also pleased to welcome Marie Hebert to her first competition as Team Manager and Marie-Pier Salvas as the team’s physiotherapist.
All athletes will compete in the individual event. Levine and Ciobanu will also compete in BC4 pairs event, while Allard, Cryderman, and Collins will compete in the BC1/2 team event.
The Regional Championships is an opportunity to earn qualification spots for the 2026 World Championships and compete against the best of the best in the Americas region. The team is also looking to build on the recent double bronze medal BC4 performance at the Seoul 2025 World Boccia Cup.
Allard is looking forward to the competition. “My goal during this competition will obviously be to perform well, but also to enjoy every moment of the event because I believe that is in moments like these that we learn the most. And at the same time, I will have the opportunity to play alongside my teammates, Lance and Kristyn. I know we have good chemistry and have been playing together for some time now, so I am confident that we will be able to demonstrate all our strengths during this competition.”
High Performance Director Mario Delisle knows the team will be well supported during this important competition. “Three coaches, a physiotherapist and a team manager will supervise the eight Canadian athletes and their partners in Cali during the 2025 Regional Championships. This on-site support team will certainly be able to bring out the best in our athletes with a view to potentially qualify for the 2026 World Championships.”
